Instructional Designer
Work Experience
- 5 to 7 years
Responsibilities
- Bachelor s degree in instructional design, adult education or related field
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, cultural awareness.
- Solid experience in e-learning methodologies, instructional design theories, models, application, digital teaching and learning design tools. This will include game-based learning, simulations and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements and hands on experience in the design and development of blended learning solutions
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content
- Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience s training needs
- Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them
- Visualize instructional graphics, user interface and finished product (UI/UX)
- Analyze and apply best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
- Experience with Gamification of Learning; video editing skills would be a benefit
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Create overall branding collateral branding, themes, design.
- Recommend changes to existing courses, including technology or instructional methods
- Use variety of techniques to ensure the quality of instruction. Connect learning programs to individual or team performance.
- Basic Working knowledge of learning management systems (LMS)
- Professional proficiency in English is a must
- Excellent communication skills
- Appropriate balance of expertise of how to apply theory in a business environment
- Experience juggling multiple work streams while achieving great results
- Experience with Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Camtasia Studio or equivalent eLearning content creation software
- Experience with video production and editing
- Basic Skills/some experience with web site development including knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience with Photoshop
- Supervisory experience; will occasionally supervise external eLearning contributors and course facilitators
- A practical knowledge of information architecture, content strategy, and user interface design a plus
